The Gold Hope Project

Free Portrait Sessions for Childhood Cancer Fighters.

The Gold Hope Project is an organization that is very dear to my heart. If you know a family fighting childhood cancer, they can request a free portrait session through the Gold Hope Website. TGHP is also always looking for volunteer photographers.  If you are a photographer who would like to donate your time to these amazing kids, you can apply at

From The Gold Hope Website:

The Gold Hope Project is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are a group of photographers aiming to gift families battling a pediatric cancer diagnoses free portrait session for their little warriors. Many families with ill children are emotionally, physically and financially strapped; it is the heart of The Gold Hope Project to take at least one worry off their shoulders and gift them something magical – the smiles of their children frozen in time. The Gold Hope Project’s goal is to make sure that these already over-burdened families have everlasting documentation of the joy and whimsy of their children while simultaneously raising awareness of and funds for pediatric oncology research and treatment.

I’ve had the honor of working with a few childhood cancer fighters on my own before I signed up as a Gold Hope volunteer.  My little friends Arya, Katelyn and Finn have been such an inspiration to me that I knew I wanted to be able to photograph more heroes like them.  I love that the Gold Hope Project offers this gift to families who are going through so much, all while raising awareness and money to fight this awful disease.

My buddy Finn was an amazing little 3-year-old who completely touched my heart and recently got his wings after a long fight with Rhabdomyosarcoma. The faith and strength with which his family fought this battle have been an inspiration to me, and to our entire community.  While I am heartbroken, I feel blessed to have known this superhero for even a brief time. If I can give just a little something to other kids like Finn and their families, then I want to do that.  💛🥑😇
