Kate and the World Around Her | Spring Hill, TN Children's PhotographerI know I say this a lot, but I LOVE toddlers. They are my favorite age to photograph. Even though their parents are always nervous saying things like, "She doesn't like to have her picture taken," or "I'm afraid she won't stand still." If you've ever read my "About Me" page, you know that one thing I love about photography is how it links me to the current moment...not worrying about the past or the future, but noticing the beauty in the world around me. I think that's what I love about Toddlers, because they do that naturally. They aren't worrying about what I think about them, or if they look bad in their photo, or anything else. They are purely reacting to the here and now. And beautiful little Kate is exactly all those things I love about toddlers. She was so interested in her world...playing with rocks and sticks and running in the wind. Completely happy and carefree until she decided the chill was too much for her and she needed her mommy to make it better. Then she was ready to go again, running from place to place on the playground, happy to be alive. So beautiful.
