Family of Four Silent Auction Winners | Spring Hill, TN Family Photographer
In April, I donated a free session for the silent auction at Chapmans Retreat Elementary held during their annual Spring Hill Cheetahfest. The auction is so much fun and raises a lot of money for the elementary school each year. Last night, I had the best time shooting the family who won that silent auction.
The light was gorgeous, it wasn't too hot and 4 year old Ella and 7 year old Spencer were so much fun. Who knew that you could have such a gorgeous photo shoot in June in Middle Tennessee? This session is a perfect example of why I like to book photo sessions at this particular time of day - the lighting is SO magical.
Also, my last several shoots have involved 2 year olds, whom I LOVE working with, but can i just say that I felt like I didn't have to work hard enough with these two "older" kids? I didn't feel like I did enough chasing.
Yes, I am a sucker for a kid with a dandelion. It's no accident that a dandelion is my business logo. Beautiful Family of Four Spring outdoor photoI love the outfits they've chosen for this session...coordinating without being too "matchy", and they look comfortable. Gorgeous Mother / Daughter imageI could live with weather like this all summer.
7 year old boy portraitI love the way the road leads off into the distance in this photo. Sibling Pose - Tell him a joke.I just love the light here, and his eyes. So cute. Beautiful light for family of four fun poseI love shooting in the woods because of the way the light comes through the trees. It's just magical. Portrait of 4 year old girlI'm not sure what she's looking at, but there is something about this picture I just love. Father / Daughter pictures just make me meltThey strike a cord with me for sure, probably because I miss my own father so much. Those eyes!!His mother mentioned to me that he's often squinty in pictures and it is hard to see his beautiful brown eyes. I think he did pretty well here. Sibling LoveDoesn't it look like they are in some kind of enchanted fairy land? Fun playground pose for family of fourI think it's fun to let kids end a photo session at a playground if possible. It's a fun place to get some shots, and the kids enjoy it. Stunning Bokeh - who needs a Christmas TreeThe photographer geek in me is in love with this picture. Fences may be my new favorite backdrop. Take time to stop and smell the wildflowersI am so happy with this location. I didn't even realize there were so many wild flowers until today. That light! That hair!Oh those beautiful ringlets with the backlighting make me want to photograph this child every single evening. Love these pictures?
