Wild Kratts 7th Birthday Party | Spring Hill, TN PhotographerI have said before that I have many talented friends, but this Wild Kratts themed birthday party that my friend Amanda threw for her 7 year old daughter, Maddie, was just out of this world amazing. If your little one is an animal lover, then I'm sure you're familiar with this great PBS kids show that helps them learn about all sorts of amazing creatures. Amanda planned the party to be at the Winchester Community Building in Spring Hill, TN, which is a perfect open space for birthday parties. She bought printables from Etsy retailer, DIYPartyPrint. She used these for the banner, water bottle labels, and food labels.
Amanda is an incredibly talented baker and made the cake and cookies herself. The figures used for the cake topper came from Toys R Us. Check out the zebra stripe on the inside of the cake....beautiful and delicious.
The decorations were out of this world. Amanda got her ideas for the Kraft Paper Vines from blogs on the internet. The animal silhouettes were my favorite part and she made those herself using a KopyKake projector.
The food, of course, also matched the adorable theme.
The birthday girl and her little sister wore matching Wild Kratts Powersuits that were purchased from Amazon.
One of the coolest parts of the party was the face painter that Amanda hired. Janelle Nigrelli Face Painting was phenomenal! All the kids lined up to get gorgeous animal themed faces done by this talented artist. They were absolutely stunning!
In addition to the face painter, Amanda had three games prepared for the children. The first game was a Kangaroo Race, that I somehow did not manage to photograph. The second game was pin the Power Disk on the Power Suit, which Amanda made up herself. We had to use the honor system on the kids keeping their eyes closed so as not to mess up their beautiful face paint with a blindfold.
For the third game, the children pretended they had Elephant Creature Powers. They used their "trunks" (pool noodles), to push a peanut down the path (made with painters tape). The first one to reach the end of the path with the peanut was the winner.
Of course, the kids also had fun running around and making up their own games.
And of course, we made getting a group photo of the kids a priority. I always require the kids to pose for a group photo BEFORE they are allowed to have cake. It works like a charm. This was definitely one of the cutest birthday parties that I have ever had the honor of photographing.
