What to do when you are too late for Fall Family PhotosGuys, it's officially October. If you need me between now and December, I'll be either shooting or editing. It's the editing that takes the most time, so if you really need to find me, your best bet is that I'll be in front of my laptop. They say October is for Photographers as April is for Accountants. This is so true. As much as I would love to photograph more families this year, there are only so many hours in the day. Especially in November...man the days are short in November. Anyway, I'm still getting emails or messages from several of you each day asking if you can schedule Fall portraits. I'm sorry, but it's too late. Some of these sessions I'm shooting now have been booked for months and months. I do have some good news though because there are a few things you can do if you missed the opportunity for Fall family portraits. First, be sure you follow me on social media. Last year I had one last minute cancellation from a client who had a sick child. I posted that opening on Facebook and someone snagged that last minute spot and it turned out to be one of my favorite family portrait sessions of the season. So you never know if that is going to happen again, but be sure you are following my Facebook page and Instagram page to see opportunities. Second, if you need a photo for your family Christmas card, join me at the Chapman's Retreat Elementary PTO Breakfast with Santa. This will be the third year that I'm photographing this event and it's a lot of fun. For an EXTREMELY low price, you get pancakes and a photo with Santa. The full size digital images from the event will be on my website within about a week, and then you may use the image for your holiday card. Third, and most importantly, stop procrastinating and book your family photos for 2018. Right now, I am booking sessions from January until June. All are excellent choices for photos. Book yours today so you don't worry about being too late next time. Now can we just talk about this adorable family for a moment? These guys go to my church and I have had the honor of photographing them at VBS and other church events. It was so much fun to get to work with them at a "real" session. Both Colton (9) and Jace (5) did such a great job. I love the ones of the boys racing each other...the way Jace looks over at his big brother with such a big smile on his face makes me happy. Love these pictures? I would love it if you would leave a comment below and consider sharing this post with friends! Please take a minute follow me on Facebook , Instagram, Google+ or Pinterest and share with your friends who might be interested, or sign up for my monthly newsletter! Schedule your own session now from my online calendar.
