Williamson County Fair - My Happy Place | Williamson County TN Family PhotographerI LOVE the fair. It happens on the week of my birthday every year, and I think that makes me special. :) So since it's my birthday, I always demand to go to the fair. Also, I'm allowed to take as many pictures as I would like. My family isn't allowed to complain or tell me that they "aren't my picture slave" (something my seven year old is fond of saying.) I love the fair for many reasons. It's beautiful. I love the lights and the atmosphere. It's the perfect ending to summer. My oldest daughter loves fast rides and my youngest daughter is obsessed with animals. I have one rule...we must be there at sunset. The first time I remember going to the fair was in August of 2005. My mom and dad were visiting us from Elizabethton and I had just told them I was pregnant with our first daughter, Megan. We went to the fair. I don't remember if it was on my birthday or not. It was 100 degrees and hot and miserable. I don't think we even stayed long. But I was so happy to be pregnant and all was right with the world. We first took my baby Megan there in 2007. She had a blast even though we mostly only did the Little Farmer section of the fair as she was too young for rides. It was the start of a tradition. Note: This is WAY before I got into photography. Please don't judge. Hopefully, I've redeemed myself with the first picture (yeah, that was on purpose.)
We didn't go to the fair in 2008. I blame the fact that we had a newborn. She's beautiful and a blessing, so I'll forgive her. In 2009, the baby was introduced to the fair for the first time. At this point, I still wasn't a photographer, so no judging here either.
2010 was when we first started to introduce rides. Oh and the big girl camera. Still no judging because I was just learning how to use it, but much better, right? In 2011, I got fancy and did a collage comparing 2010 and 2011. Aren't my babies so adorable? In 2012, Kayla really needed a haircut. But she's still beautiful.
In 2013, Megan began her own tradition of wearing tie dyed shirts to the fair. This year, she got mad at her sister for refusing to continue the tradition. In 2014, we went on my actual birthday and it was seriously one of the best night's ever. It was the night before school started and we were so irresponsible and stayed at the fair until closing time. But it was worth it because that's the only year we've seen the fireworks. If Williamson County Schools would oblige me and wait one more week for school to start so as not to interfere with my fair-going, that would be great. Dr. Looney, please get right on that. The fair is IMPORTANT. It's learning and stuff.
Ok, now to 2015...or yesterday. I've been told you guys don't care for collages, but it was necessary to get in all the pictures from years past. Plus a lot of those were bad pictures, so it's probably best that they are tiny. But here are some great big single pictures of this year's fun at the fair.
So how could you not love the fair after seeing all those happy beautiful faces?

Hi! I was wondering how much it costs for an individual download for one of the pics from this specific blog? I read somewhere that individual photo downloads are $20? Is that correct?
