Welcoming Baby Tillman | Nashville Newborn PhotographerBaby Tillman made us wait a long time to get to his newborn session as he was two weeks overdue. But he was well worth the wait...such a beautiful baby boy and so sweet that he made me forget how much work newborns can be. He slept most of the time that I was at his Nashville home with new parents Amanda and Jake. Amanda and Jake welcomed me into their home and were such a sweet, easygoing couple and I enjoyed getting to know them. Most of newborn clients are welcoming their second or third baby. It was a rare honor to be in a home welcoming their very first child. It brings back so many memories of those first special moments of motherhood. Those first days included some of the hardest, scariest, awesomest, most wonderful moments of my entire life. It's really awesome to have a job capturing those moments for other couples. The dog wasn't so sure about me, but after a little while we became friends. She was just doing a super good job of protecting her new baby. So of course I had to include her in a few of the pictures. Random small world coincidence...Jake and Amanda were referred to me from another photographer that I know through a Facebook group for Nashville photographers. Unlike most of my clients who are referred by other clients, they did not live in Spring Hill and we had no mutual friends. But then once I posted a few pictures of their session and they tagged themselves, my best friend texted me and told me that Jake is actually the cousin of her co-worker Rosemary. I don't actually know Rosemary but my best friend talks about her all they time so I feel like I do. So no point to that really except it reminded me of that game "Six Degrees to Kevin Bacon."
