Fall is absolutely my favorite season.  I love everything about it...the weather, the colors, the food, and especially the feeling.  For me, fall has always meant special fun times with Bruce and my girls.  There is just something about the changing season that reminds us to live in the moment and to treasure the time we have together as a family.   One of our most favorite places to go in the fall is to Lucky Ladd Farms. I've been taking photos of the girls there since they were very little.  Kayla is obsessed with the petting zoo and taking pictures of her with the various animals has become a tradition of sorts.  And Lucky Ladd has the absolute best playground around.  I know that the memories we make there will last a lifetime.

The last time I shot promotional images for Lucky Ladd, Bruce and the girls came with me.  They had a fun afternoon on the farm while I did my thing.  This time, we decided that due to her asthma acting up, Megan needed to stay home and away from the animals and pollen.  However, Kayla really wanted to go.  I agreed to let her go with me and be my assistant under the agreement that we were there for work and she had to go where I needed to go to get pictures and she needed to stay out of the way.  Well, she did OK going where I needed to go, but the child ended up in way too many pictures.  It's funny because when I want her in my shots, she complains and says she's not my "picture slave."  But when I want her to stay out of the way, she ends up photo bombing half the shots.  I guess it is too much to ask a seven year old to stay out of the action when we are at one of her favorite places in the world.
