So many times I'm told that a family has put off pictures because they don't think their toddler will cooperate.  Well, of course they won't.  They are toddlers.  However, that is no reason to think you can't get beautiful family portraits.  All you need is some suckers and some fun.  I'm not above bribes, and I ALWAYS carry yummy earth organic suckers with me to sessions.  They always do the trick.  Sometimes, they end up in photographs, but I don't mind.  If that's what it takes to help a little one to loosen up and relax, so be it.  

Despite mom and dad's apprehension, I believe little Carter (age 2) did a WONDERFUL job at our photo session at Henry Horton State Park.  We looked for snakes (I was secretly hoping not to find any, but don't tell him), ran around a lot and played on the playground.  Big sister Jordon (age 4) was a joy to be with as well.  She and I became fast friends as we are both fans of My Little Pony.  She likes Pinky Pie best but wasn't offended that Rainbow Dash is my favorite.  She and I both agree that snakes are yucky.  

And how cute are mom and dad?  What a gorgeous couple!
