It was a chilly winter day in Franklin, but the snow was beginning to melt.  Thankfully, the roads were clear enough so that we didn't have to postpone this family portrait session at the Factory at Franklin.  I had never met this family before, but was very excited about my session with them.  I already knew from communicating with Sarah through email that these were the type of clients I love, and I was right.  She had said that she admired my candid, carefree style and that meant a lot to me.  And it also meant that these were clients who would not be looking for super posed Sears portrait style photos.  And that is always a bonus. 

I immediately fell in love with 18 month old Jude.  Between his curls and that smile...how could you not fall in love with him?  He was a ball full of energy, just like his mother promised.  And I loved every minute of it.  We ran around exploring the Factory as much as Jude wanted.  It is such a great place for a photo session and allowed plenty of room for Jude to run and explore.  Although there were very few people hanging out there on a Sunday, Jude took the opportunity to win over anyone who did manage to pass us by with his enchanting grin.  

The best part was that it was warm enough outside that we were able to go grab some snow pictures!  I was so fun to watch little Jude exploring in the snow.  And another thing that was a joy to watch was how much love these parents had for their baby boy.  It was immediately obvious to any observer how lucky this little boy was to be loved so much.  I hope that I was able to capture that love and joy in these images.
