I am a board member for the PTO at Chapman's Retreat Elementary, and each Spring we host a giant family fun event and silent auction called Cheetahfest.  It is such a fun event and raises a great amount of money for our school.  The school relies on parents and local businesses to donate items for the silent auction and for the second year in a row, I donated a free family portrait session. (If you would like to donate an item for the auction, which happens in April, email the Chapman's Retreat Elementary PTO.) This year, I was very excited to learn that the winner of the auction was my daughter's sweet second grade teacher, Susan. 

Susan wasn't sure where to have the photos made at, so I shared with her my Pinterest board for helping clients to select locations.  She decided to go with the Park at Harlinsdale Farms in Franklin, which is one of my favorite shooting location.  Once again I was blessed with fairly moderate weather for this time of year and it was a gorgeous night for family fun.

I had never met her boys before, but getting to know them was so much fun.  Grayson is 9 years old and Sam is 5 years old. We had a blast tossing around a football, running races and playing with my new bubble gun.  I just loved their energy so much, and feel like my style is a perfect match for active boys like Grayson and Sam.  And there was such a connection between them...whether they were wrestling each other or sweeting whispering silly jokes, you could just see how the loved each other.  

Susan made the comment that I had probably ruined them for other photographers who might expect them to stand still and pose.  Well...that's fine with me cause I'd love to capture these two again. LOL
