These two giggly little girls reminded me a lot of my own daughters, who are just a year or so older than these two. We had a great time exploring the Park at Harlinsdale Farms. It was the most perfect spring evening with very comfortable temperatures and GORGEOUS light.  The family wanted to include their Golden Retriever, Charlie in the photos, so Harlinsdale was a perfect spot to be able to bring a family pet. Including the family dog in a portrait session is a wonderful idea and I love adding pets to a session. This family obviously adored their Charlie and he was just one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met. 

Harlinsdale is one of my favorite places to shoot, with lots of barns, interesting brick work and my favorite tree that has the most stunning light coming through it in the evening. The only issue is trying to avoid having cars (because this gorgeous tree faces the parking lot) and other photographers. This is definitely one of the most popular spots around for portrait sessions, so there are often other people being photographed at the same time during magic hour, but it's not too hard to avoid them when you compose a shot. And when all else fails, I can always edit them out after the session.
