50th Birthday Cake Smash!

I cannot even tell you how much fun this session was to photograph.

Sherri, Lisa, and Candace have been friends for 40 years, and the all turn 50 this Fall. I had photographed Sherri's family last June. Then, a few months ago, she emailed saying that her best friends would be in town in April, and she wanted to plan the most amazing photo session with them to celebrate their 50th birthdays. I was totally excited about this because it's exactly the kind of thing my friends would do...a grown-up cake smash.

The joy that these three had in just being together was absolutely contagious. They say that a good friend knows all your stories, but your best friends lived them with you. These three are definitely the best of friends, based upon the hilarious stories they shared during our session. (You won't hear those stories here... client/photographer confidentiality.)

Is there a better way to celebrate your 50th birthday and 40 years of friendship than with cake, champagne, beautiful sunlight and the most amazing friends? If only we could all be so lucky.
