Top 100 Personal Images in 2016 | Crystal Freemon PhotographSo, I'm going to just admit from the start that these selections are absolutely clouded by mommy goggles, and I'm OK with that. That is what us "Mom-togs" refer to as the blurring of our judgement when trying to select "the best" photos by letting emotional attachment to the images surpass the technical quality of the image. That means that someone else probably wouldn't have chosen these as my best of 2016 if they'd looked at my photos with unbiased eyes, but as these images are for me, I'm keeping the bias. These images include birthdays for my babies (8 and 10!), a first hockey game, three vacations, and lots of fun every-day moments at home. Most were taken with my "good" camera (Nikon D750), but several are taken with my Olympus Tg- 4 underwater point and shoot, and a couple were even taken with my iphone (can you tell which ones?). I plan to also do a top 100 client images for 2016, but first I felt like I needed to submerse myself into images of my own babies as they've grown over this past year. One of my personal resolutions for the New Year is to start doing a better job of printing my images...to catch up on old yearly photo books, and to organize 2017 as I go so that it will be super easy to create an album at the end of the year. I'm also going to print these 100 images in a book...sometimes I get so overwhelmed with the thousands and thousands of images I shoot each year and how to include them in a book, that it seems like a good start to just make a book with these 100. I also will be printing some to update my walls in my home. What about you? What are your most cherished images of 2016? I'd love to see them in the comments. How do you plan on getting the images off your computer and into an album?
