With February afternoons as beautiful as this one, it's hard to imagine why so many people want to wait until Fall to book family portrait sessions.  We really lucked out with the gorgeous weather. I had a great time meeting this lovely family and their sweet German Shepherd, Molly.  Including the family pet in a photo session is a great idea! Not only are pets an important part of our families, but they also can add an element of real interaction to portrait session.  It helps to take away some of that pressure to smile and look at the camera when you have a sweet animal in front of you to interact with and pet.
