This year has had the craziest weather.  A few days after Christmas, I had gorgeous warm weather for an at home session. Then last week, well into March, it was snowing.  Well, for this session with Desi and her beautiful children, it was full on Spring and I could not be happier with it.  

For the past week or so, I'd been in sort of a funk, photography wise - feeling discouraged.  It happens occasionally and comes with the territory I guess. But a beautiful spring evening with these three (plus the gorgeous dog) was exactly what I needed.  These are my clients and exactly the kind of photography I love. We walked and talked and played and ran in the sun. 

Speaking of the sun....it feels like it's been a while since I had any at a session.  Overcast, cloudy skies can be lovely for portrait sessions and is very flattering, much better than harsh mid day light.  But I missed the sun.  There is nothing like a fun magic hour session just before sunset with gorgeous light.  If I could control the sun, this is how it would be for every session.
