My family has loved going to Lucky Ladd Farms for years, and recently I have done marketing work for them on a couple of occasions, but this is the first time I have worked with the Ladd's on a family session.  What fun to have the entire farm to ourselves for a photo shoot!  I am positive that maintaining such a fun farm experience for so many Middle Tennessee families must be SO much work, and I imagine they work very, very hard.  But I also kept thinking about how cool it must be to grow up as little kids with that wonderland in your own back yard.  What a magical childhood filled with animals, giant slides and a corn maze at your disposal!

Watching four year old Jacey with her horse, Strawberry, was such a treat.  It was so obvious how much she loved her little one-eyed pony, and the horse definitely loves her back.  Four year old me was super jealous.  But a much older me was pretty excited to take photos of this beautiful duo.  Two year old AJ was as equally adorable as his big sister.  I loved watching him wrestle the family cat (who kept photo bombing our pictures), and chase chickens around the farm.  I even got to shoot Farmer Ladd having some fun with the kids on the giant slide!  As a photographer who really loves to capture kids in their own environments, this session was definitely a dream.
